ODM
ODM:
ODM (Object Database Manager) is a object oriented database where system and device configuration data is stored. These files are in binary format and can not be edited. When you run a SMIT command or one of the high level commands that SMIT is using, the command will manipulating the ODM. The ODM should not be tampered with unless you are very sure of what you are doing, or you may be reloading the system tonight. The location of these files are by default in /etc/objrepos and /usr/lib/objrepos. The location can be changed using the ODMDIR variable in the /etc/environment file. It is recommended that the default location be used. The following systems are managed by the ODM
