Upon completing the course, among the various student outcomes will achieve are: 1) under- stand the basic principles of classical time harmonic electromagnetic field theory as given by the Maxwell equations, through visualization using computer simulations ; 2) analysis, design and simulation of electromagnetic fields in free-space as well as in microwave guiding structures using MATLAB, electromagnetic simulation and CAD tools, 3) the ability to perform literature survey in modern RF, microwave and radar related topics, and 4) make oral presentation, and write technical reports based on the analysis, design and simulation of electromagnetic fields for various modern applications
