This course is graded out of 1000 points. Each assignment has its own point allotment with a corresponding rubric. Assignments will be graded following the rubric.

CATME will be used to modify grades based on team participation. CATME outputs a modifier score between 0.2 and 1.05. Student submission scores will be multiplied by their CATME modifier score to generate the score used for grading purposes.

W5 CATME, for example, will be used to modify the W5 assignment (broader impacts).

Students may earn an F if it is determined that they are not adequately contributing to the success of their group's project. If this is the case, intervention will be attempted by the instructor and the faculty advisor, but if intervention fails, a F grade may stand.  This may differ from the student's grade on blackboard, which reflect's the group's grade, not their own. A student may also earn an F if they miss, are late, or are otherwise unprepared for the final oral presentation. A student may also earn an F if they are found to be in violation of their team contract in a way that effects the overall success of the team.
